Selecting quality components is only one part of building a safe, reliable braking system. How those components are installed and maintained plays a major role in overall performance. Based on conversations with mechanics and fleet supervisors we work with, we have collected a few practical tips that can help extend the life of your Sonet Engineering parts and reduce the likelihood of unexpected downtime.
First, always inspect the full system when replacing a single component. Installing a new brake drum on worn shoes or with contaminated linings will not deliver the improvement you expect.
